NuCook uses live, personalized cooking classes to help women build healthier eating habits that they can truly enjoy. Designed by our team of experts, NuCook incorporates the best of cooking, dietary, and women’s health data to create recipes that support you where you are. NuCook’s curriculum was developed first as an in-person study at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and transitioned into virtual classes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting with pregnancy and menopause, we hope to expand our courses to include focuses across the lifespan.

DR. SUSAN HELLERSTEIN MD, mph

Dr. Hellerstein  is the third generation of doctors in her family to promote healthy cooking. As a practicing obstetrician gynecologist, she sees pregnancy as a pivotal time where women are motivated to improve eating habits for their health and growing pregnancy.  Her hands-on Cooking and Nutrition for a Healthy Pregnancy course leverages the expertise of an obstetrician, chef and nutritionist team to teach women how to put guidelines into practice. She is studying how these classes build confidence and competence in women’s ability to make easy, affordable, healthy and delicious home cooked meals. The classes are fun and women try many new foods that look and taste amazing using  a variety of  grains, lots of vegetables, and healthy proteins.

cHEF EVA KATZ, cook’s country magazine

Eva's first cooking job was on a yacht and now she is contributing editor at America’s Test Kitchen. In between, Eva has worked for restaurants and caterers, taught cooking and styled food. Her recipes have been featured in Cook’s Illustrated, Cook’s Country, Boston Globe, Fine Cooking, Fresh, Australian Gourmet Traveler, Murdoch Books and Australian Good Taste.

Laura Klein, chef and culinary coach

Laura is the owner of Well Seasoned Coaching and faculty for the CHEF Coaching program. As a Culinary Coach, Laura focuses on the challenges of maintaining a healthy lifestyle in today’s busy world. Through a combination of nutrition education, healthy goal setting and home cooking skills Laura helps her clients achieve their wellness goals.

Laura’s coaching credentials include certifications from the Coaches Training Institute, Wellcoaches, The American Council on Exercise and the CHEF Coaching program. Additionally Laura holds a certificate in culinary nutrition from the Natural Gourmet Institute and graduated from the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts.

ANDREA ROCHE, MS, RDN, LDN, IBCLC


Andrea is a Registered Dietitian and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and holds a Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Health Promotion. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and specializes in prenatal and postpartum nutrition and lactation. As a self-proclaimed chef, Andrea is very passionate about food and takes advantage of every opportunity to be in a kitchen!
